We have been to Galipo Restaurant many times before, and the food is always good. But this time it was different, because they serve really big portions of food, and I cannot deal with that after my gastric sleeve surgery. Mom and I decided to share a “Galipo Special” which was delicious, it was beef with garlic taste.
There were very few guests, but Galipo and his employees are very nice. I will give the restaurant 9 out of 10 on my review.
Galipo and the waiter Emin, took very good care of us.
After the meal, Emin served us a plate of fruit and apple tea free of charge! We recommend this restaurant to everyone!
Here is a review I have done before: Galipo Restaurant in Tosmur
After we were done at the market, we needed some coffee and something to eat. We stopped by Antep Sofrasi, a lovely little restaurant by the market.
We ordered a Turkish pizza, which was delicious. The coffee also tasted very good. I will give this restaurant 8 out of 10 on my review.
And it only cost us 12 lire! (For the pizza)
After we came back to Dim Villa, we had an in between meal with some of the stuff we bought at the market: avocado, radish and cheese:
After church service in Oba, we needed something to eat. We discovered SOLSIDEN Restaurant by the main street. They obviously catered to a Norwegian crowd, and some waiters even spoke Norwegian too. It was late in the season, so there was not a lot to pick from on the menu. We asked if they had shrimp casserole, and they did not. So we ended up ordering an osmanish kebab to share.
It was a bit bigger than the other kebabs we have had. Also not as tasty as at Aisha`s. But overall a good restaurant experience. I will give it a 8,5 out of 10 on my review. The starters were great, with dips, olives and garlic butter and turkish bread. And the stew itself was very good.
The next day we were back at the market, and we bought more dried fruits and also some extremely cheap vegetables and cheese. We recommend everybody to go to the market for food, because they also let you taste before you buy, and the prices are great.
We went back to Bistro Dolphine`s and asked if they could make a shrimp casserole for us to share. This was no problem.
The shrimp casserole was delicious, but after my gastric sleeve surgery, I was only able to handle this:
Then a guy who called himself “Jackson” came and introduced himself. I had never seen him before. He said he was looking for a girl to be his girlfriend to teach him some Norwegian, and asked if that could be me. When I wasn`t interested, he made comments that were rude. I had in one hair extention, and he walked around saying my hair wasn`t real. I really hope the guys at Dolphine`s fire this guy before he ruins the experience of other restaurant guests in the future.
After the meal, the father of Yunus offered to give us a ride home. This was great! I will give this experience an 8 out of 10, but as I wrote earlier, I hope they fire this guy “Jackson.”
The next day, we were in Oba for church service. It was a really nice time. After that we walked about the empty streets of Oba, seeing the different restaurants closed down for the season.
Mom and I decided to go to Aisha`s place for an osmanish kebab. We were greeted with hugs and kisses by Aisha and her husband Gilad.
They are so lovely! We ordered an osmanish kebab to share, and it was of course the best we have tasted. I will give this restaurant a 9,5 out of 10 on my review. We have been here so many times, we are treated as members of the family! And it only cost us 29 turkish lire.
The next day we were back at the beach
And I think I looked good in my new bikini:
We had a lot of contact with a waiter named Han, and he always treated me and mom as royalty!
My mom and I went to Summer Love Restaurant. We decided to share a shrimp casserole. We were the only guests, as the season was coming to an end. The starters came quickly, bread with olives and dips. Then the most delicious casserole I have tasted was served.
The manager Halil, was in a good mood as always, and treated me and mom as princesses!
I will give this restaurant experience a 9 out of 10 on my review.
The next day, mom and I went shopping for new mattresses for our beds. We ended up in a furniture shop in Oba, and bought two new mattresses:
We have never slept like this before, it was an awesome feeling.
We also needed new bikinis, and we found a great clothes store in Tosmur with beautiful bikinis:
We went to Oba to find a place to eat. We were shocked to see how few guests there were at the restaurants. I remembered back in May we walked by a restaurants which was full of guests and we were trying to find that place. We ended up at Mitos Restaurant. There were some other guests, and we found a place to sit. Mom ordered red wine, I ordered water and the starters came.
The main meal was a stew called Gullas, which was mushrooms, onions, wine sauce, cream cheese served with garniture. We ordered a stew for us to share, and they came out with two huge plates of food. It was one of the best meals I have had in Turkey, but unfortunately I was not able to eat all of it. Sometimes, when I have such lovely food in front of me, I regret the gastric sleeve surgery.
On the house, we got a plate of fresh fruit.
The manager came over and introduced himself. His name was Mustafa. He claimed to know hundreds of families in Norway, and said he would travel to Norway soon. He was nice enough to drive us home after the meal. I will give this restaurant 9 out of 10 on my review.
When we first came to Dim Villa, I really wanted to swim in the pool, but the water was extremely cold. We went swimming still, and I got an UTI, which was quickly treated, but I stopped swimming in the pool after that. Here are some pics:
We were happy to see that all kinds of fruit was growing on the trees at Dim Villa. Mom picked mandarines that tasted great.
