Wearing jeans for the first time in years

I have been all shapes and sizes in my life. I was an overweight child compared to my sister, then I went through anorexia in my teens. It turned into bulimia, and in my 20s I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and prescribed all kinds of psych meds, and went from skinny to slim to toned to chubby to obese, then I switched meds and lost weight again, but in the last years the pounds have just been packing on.

I have a huge wardrobe with clothes in all sizes.

I have always been a skirt and dress kind of woman, I find it more feminine than trousers and it is a personal preference. But today I went through my wardrobe and found some jeans that fit me.

I gave up on jeans some years ago when I was at Sparkjøp and size 46 was too small. I also remember an embarassing situation from Turkey. They had really nice jeans for a cheap price and I tried on a size 46 – and it was too small. The lady`s reaction was “but we don`t have anything bigger.” It was really depressing.

So now I can wear jeans again after the gastric sleeve surgery, and I took these pics:

I snapped this to my sister: “Me in jeans! Haven`t worn them in years!!”

Downtown

I spent some time downtown before meeting my family. I was wearing a necklace and earrings that I bought at QXL:

I first went to Bergen Christian Bookstore. I bought some cards and a necklace with a cross, and they also had a huge collection of icons. I bought two, and this is what they look like on my wall:

Then I went to Fretex second hand store. I bought some new clothes, including this red dress:

After we were done at the restaurant, my mom and I went to Vivikes and my mom bought this winter coat for me:

I also got my present from my sister and mom after their trip to Turkey, it was a dress that I really like. Mom and I are going back to Turkey in October by the way!!

China Palace Restaurant in Bergen

Now that I have been treated for my ulcer and am back to eating normal food, I can go to restaurants again. I really enjoy meeting my family and having dinner with them.

China Palace Restaurant is a very popular chinese restaurant, and there were many guests. We arrived early, so we got a table right away, but by the time we were eating, there was a line of people waiting for tables. They have a pond with kois in the middle of the restaurant which is great to look at.

Because of my gastric sleeve surgery I can only eat half a portion of food, and when we asked for that, the waitress was unsure of what to do. She said that two other customers had asked for the same thing earlier that day. She then came back after asking the chef, and it was ok. Here she is, she was lovely:

After that my sister and mom had bananas and ice cream, and I ate a little from their plates. We also had coffee.

I will give this restaurant a 9,5 out of 10 on my review because of the great food and service!

Complications after gastric sleeve

I have been vomiting blood, and I am now on medication for a stomach ulcer. I have been told that I must go back to a liquid diet for a while.

I don`t weigh myself every day anymore. I will do it every week. I am guessing I am about 80 kilos now. I have a lot of problems with vomiting and diarreah, but I am being told that I look good.

At least I am not obese anymore! And when I see pictures of myself, I no longer think that I am so big. Here are some pics from today:
